Mia Frances Kopysciansky, 9, of McElhattan, participated in The Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts Youth Day on July 11.
Mia melted crayons on canvas to make gorgeous, one-of-a-kind works of art that she sold at her booth called "Mama Mia's Crayonvases." In less than three hours, all of her art work was sold. She donated 10 percent of her sales to the Clinton County United Way.
Mia got the idea to melt crayons from a website called, Pinterest, and with a little help from her parents, Mitch and Tracie Christensen, Mia's business was up and running.
