LOCK HAVEN - The Ross Library's "Walk The Past" series of historic walking tours is being brought back due to popular demand, after a short hiatus.

Adult Services Coordinator Lou Bernard will give a tour of Bellefonte Avenue at 9 a.m. this Friday, and a tour featuring the haunted areas of Lock Haven at 8 p.m. on Saturday. After that, the tours will be repeated in August for anyone who missed the beginning of the series.

On Aug. 10 and 17, both at 9 a.m., Bernard will guide walking tours of the historic districts of Water and Main streets. Anyone who missed the earlier tours is welcome to attend.

The tours feature the history of Lock Haven, including mentions of the Civil War, the Titanic, Amelia Earhart, ghost towns and other historic topics. The goal is to collectively reach 318 miles, the distance from Lock Haven to Gettysburg. The tours have gone over 100 miles so far.

For further information, contact Bernard at the Ross Library at 748-3321 or ross13@rosslibrary.org.
