Simple assault
SWISSDALE - A man was placed in the Clinton County Correctional Facility after a domestic dispute Monday evening, Woodward Township police said. John David Jarrett, 43, of 244 Oak Hollow Road, allegedly assaulted his ex-partner at his house at 7:30 p.m., police said, first striking the person with a metal trash can then grabbing the person. Jarrett was on probation and he was placed in prison with new charges to be filed, police said.
Assault charged
JERSEY SHORE - Jamie Lee Mason, 34, of 460 Susquehanna Drive, Piatt Township, is accused of assault after he allegedly punched a 30-year-old female in the face at his house Sunday at 2:30 a.m., Tpr. Joel R. Miles of state police at Montoursville said. The victim's tooth chipped and came out of her mouth, along with receiving bruises on her upper arm, police said.
DUI charged
CENTRE HALL-Richard Smalley, 55, of Spring Mills, was stopped by state police at Rockview on Route 192 in Potter Township for traffic violations, and was then charged for DUI July 3, police said.
