The event features food, games, prizes, train rides through the streets and a petting zoo for children age 11 and younger. Face painting and crafts also will be available for kids to enjoy.
Parents are encouraged to visit educational exhibits, and everyone can pick up police and fire safety tips.
Tim Meyers and Cathi Noll roll out the bikes to be given away at the first kids’ day event sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Bald Eagle and Nittany Valleys, set for Saturday at the local fire hall.
Every child attending also will receive a free book and two free entry forms to win prizes which include two bikes.
A Ring Race is offered at 1 p.m. with a $100 cash prize for the first ring to float across the finish line. Rings are now available for a $1 donation from Kiwanians and will be available at the event.
