Florence Louise Poor-man, 79, of Jacksonville, died Friday, July 27, 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born in Bellefonte on Aug. 28, 1932, a daughter of the late John and Isabel Horner Miller.
Florence married the late Mitchell S. Poorman on May 28, 1954; he died April 23, 2000.

She was a 1951 graduate of Bellefonte High School, and was a private housekeeper for many people in the area.
Florence enjoyed camping at the Grange Fair and was a proud fifth-generation camper there. She enjoyed tending to her flower beds, going for drives with her brother and sister, and she loved picnics with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Melius (Merle Eyer) of Pine Grove Mills; three sons, Bryan (Karen) of Woolrich, Edward (Michele) of Jacksonville and Jeffrey of Zion; two sisters, Marian Lockhart of Milesburg and Shirley Hearn of Florida; and one brother, Leroy Wagner (Cindy) of Pleasant Gap.
She was also survived by 13 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessica, Jennifer, Christina, Amy Sue, Billy, Natasha, Tyler, Kelsy, Trevor, Ashly, Travis and Corie Jo; 13 great-grandchildren, Destiny, Bradon, Keegan, Isabella, Morgan, Courtney, Taylor, Curtis, Nathan, Alyssa, Darien, Riley and Ryder; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Merle, and a granddaughter, Amy Sue Melius Casher in 2000.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard, with Rev. Dr. Bryon K. Reynolds, C.P.E., officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. Visitation will be today, July 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.
