Marlene Grace Clark, 83, of Salladasburg, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Sunday, July 29, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family at home.
Born on May 17, 1929 in Millheim, she was the daughter of the late John and Nettie (Overdorf) Taylor.
Marlene worked for the Visiting Nurse Association and Regional Home Health Services as a home health aide for approximately 30 years.
A highlight of her life experience was a trip to the Holy Lands in Israel. She enjoyed taking long walks, reading (especially her Bible) and spending time with her family.
Marlene loved music and sang in different local choirs. Her passion was bringing glory to God through her witness.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Clark, who passed away on March 9, 2001.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Clark (Connie) of Mill Hall and Gary Clark (Kathy) of Linden; three daughters, Jeanette Bergstrom (David) of West Grove, Laurie Yaw of Williamsport and Julie Thomas (Mike) of Jersey Shore; 15 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc., 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Marlene's son-in-law, Rev. David P. Bergstrom, officiating. A visitation will be held in the funeral home from noon until 1 p.m. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family extends their appreciation to the Confer Home Health aides who went beyond the call of duty with their loving care for Marlene. The aides are Bobbi Jo Breon, Tamecka Breon, Jerrie Lynn Herlocher and Kathy Lachat.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marlene's name to the Confer Home Health Services, 327 Howard St., S. Williamsport, PA 17702.
