Joanne C. Bower, 75, formerly of Chambersburg, died July 29, 2012, in Susque-View Home.
She was born in Swissdale on Sept. 15, 1936, the daughter of the late Harold and Verna Keifer Laubscher.
Joanne worked at the silk mill and Lock Haven Motel.
Suriviving are her companion for more than 30 years, Charles L. Strine of Chambersburg; two sons, Kenneth E. Bower of Williamsport and Daniel L. (Barbara) Strine of Chambersburg; a daughter Carol L. (Ross Nevel) of Lock Haven; four brothers, John, Ronald and Gary Laubscher of Lock Haven and Harold Laubscher of Lamar; two sisters, Janet L. Baney of Beech Creek and Betty Karstetter of Loganton; four grandchildren, Charles D. and Corrine M. Strine and Katrina L. and Jared L. Nevel.
She was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Brigman.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Swissdale Cemetery.
