MILL HALL - A 38-year-old Lamar resident died of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle collision Friday morning on Route 64 in Porter Township, Tpr. Darryl Martin of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.
Dustin Kline of Lamar was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Geisinger Medical Center after a two-vehicle crash Friday in front of 9743 Nittany Valley Drive, about a half-mile from the state police barracks just south of Mill Hall.
The mangled wreckage of a Subaru-model car sits along Route 64. Its driver died from injuries suffered in the wreck on Friday.
Police confirmed Friday afternoon that he died of injuries suffered when his 1999 Subaru Legacy collided with a 2001 Kenworth truck-tractor hauling water.
According to police, Kline was driving south on Route 64 and Brian K. Swinehart, 34, of Millersburg, Ohio, was driving north on Route 64 when Kline's auto crossed the center line and into the lane of approaching traffic.
His Legacy crashed head-on into the truck's driver side trailer axle, police said.
After impact, the truck traveled another 60 yards east and the car traveled about 10 feet west, rotating 100 degrees counter-clockwise before coming to rest facing southwest.
