Clifford "Kip" Leroy Baughman, 86, of Howard, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012 at the Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte.
He was born in Lock Haven on June 7, 1926, a son of the late Floyd Oliver and Mabel Evelyn Cooney Baughman.
In February 1947 he married Barbara Confer. She died in February 1987.
He was a graduate of Lock Haven High School and attended Lock Haven Teachers College.
Kip retired as a supervisor with Centre Lime after more than 40 years of service.
He proudly served his country in the Army/Air Corp. during World War II.
He was a member of Citizens Hose Fire Company in Lock Haven for over 70 years. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Blanchard.
Kip enjoyed hunting, camping and boating at Bald Eagle Park. He was an avid fan of all Penn State sports and was a talented cook and baker.
Surviving are two daughters, Andrea E. (Steven) Dubois of State College and Heidi A. of Howard; two sons, David O. (Kathie) of Howard and John W. (Erin) of Mt. Lebanon; a brother Richard of Mill Hall; six grandchildren, Danielle Catteau, Wyatt Dubois, Travis and Aaron Baughman, Alexis Schierman and Seth Baughman; two step-grandchildren, Steve Dubois Jr. and Stacy Reachard; four great-grandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday,Aug. 7, 2012, at Howard United Methodist Church, West Main Street, Howard, with Pastor Craig Rose officiating. Burial will be in Schenck's Cemetery, Howard.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 at the church.
