Larry "Buck" Bechdel, 64, of Beech Creek, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at the Lock Haven Hospital.
He was born June 12, 1948 in Lock Haven, the son of the late Daniel and Lois Schenck Bechdel.
On Aug? 16, 1980 he married Wilma Jean Croak, who survives at home.

Larry was a truck driver for many years for Roy Struble Trucking in Beech Creek where he received the Million Mile driving award.
He was in the U.S. Army where he received the Vietnam Bronze Star, Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze stars, sharpshooter medal for the M-14 and M-16 and the the Combat Infantry award.
Larry was a member of the Beech Creek Legion, Howard VFW, Sons of Italy in Lock Haven, and Castanea Fire Co. where he was a social member.
He is survived by one son, Daniel R. Bechdel (Kristi) of Lancaster, Ohio and one step-daughter, Joni Brown of Lock Haven. He was preceded in death by one step-daughter, Lisa Brown.
He is also survived by two brothers, Jerry A. Bechdel his twin, of Howard and Michael C. Bechdel of Flemington, and one sister, Bonnie A. McCartney of Howard; and seven grandchildren, Derrick Bates, Noah and Tyler Bliss, Alexa-Rain Brown, Dakota Barnard, Luke Bechdel and Mia Bella Hall.
He was preceded in death by a brother Thomas L. Bechdel.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at 4 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard with the Rev. Alan S. Eckenroad officiating.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Schencks Cemetery in Howard with military rites.
