Donna L. Wittmer, 72, of Livonia, passed from this life on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Donna, a daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Peter Askey, was born on June 23, 1940 in Blanchard. She was a 1958 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.
On June 25, 1966, Donna married Paul D. Gill who preceded her in death on July 24, 1986. Donna was then united in marriage to William L. Wittmer on Aug. 18, 1990. Mr. Wittmer also preceded Donna in death on Sept. 4, 2003.

Donna was employed in the Paterno Library at Penn State, retiring in 2002 with 17 years of service. She then worked at the Family Dollar Store in Mifflinburg. Donna was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Millheim.
In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and family picnics.
Donna is survived by a daughter, Jodi Gates (George Herrold) of Lock Haven; a son, Douglas P. Gill (Janet Butler) of Aaronsburg; and two grandchildren, Kyle T. Gates and Abby M. Herrold both of Lock Haven.
Also surviving are siblings Dorothy Davidson of Bellefonte, Ronald Askey and Virginia Turner, both of Mill Hall, and Sharon Elder of Zion.
In addition to both husbands, Donna was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Taren R. Gates.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m.
In accordance with family wishes, Donna will be laid to rest in Livonia Cemetery in Livonia at a later date.
