ZION - The Bellefonte Sunrise Rotary Club's fifth annual "Play-A-Round with Rotary" golf tournament will be held the Nittany Country Club, Sunday, Sept. 23 with an 8 a.m. tee time.
The fundraiser supports Centre County youth and other Rotary projects. In the past, the club has donated educational and craft materials to the Bellefonte Youth Center, supported the Centre County Library's Summer Reading Program, donated to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, provided dictionaries to local third-grade students, supported local high school students competing at the Rotary 4-Way Test speech contest, sponsored four youth exchange students, participated in the Adopt-A-Highway Program and completed other service projects to benefit the community.
The tournament will consist of a shotgun start, four-person scramble. There will be competitions throughout the tournament.
The entry fee includes greens' fees, carts, prizes, donuts, coffee, juice, on-course snacks, soda, water. A meal will follow after the tournament.
Applications are available at Nittany Country Club or from a Bellefonte Rotarian. Those unable to golf may still choose to support the tournament through a sponsorship or donation of a prize or a promotional item to be included in the player gift bag.
