Alzheimer’s Support Group to meet

LOCK HAVEN - The August Alzheimer's Support Group meeting will be held Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. in Conference Room B of Susque-View.

Barb Wilson from the Alzheimer's Association will talk about The Walk to End Alzheimer's at Indian Park in Montoursville on Sept. 29. Afterward, Fran Decker, group facilitator, will introducing the Alzheimer's Association's new E-Learning Courses. The courses now online include know the 10 signs of Alzheimer's, memory loss; dementia and Alzheimer's Disease; legal and financial planning for Alzheimer's Disease; living with Alzheimer's for people with Alzheimer's; living with Alzheimer's for caregivers, early stage, middle stage, late stage and younger-onset.

The Alzheimer's Support Group is open to anyone caring for someone with memory loss. The group is free and meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in Conference Room B of Susque-View. Sitter service for the ambulatory Alzheimer's patient and transportation to the meeting can be provided upon request by calling Fran Decker, group facilitator at 866-907-5433 or 748-4302.
