A blood drive will be held at Mt. View Alliance Church, 1515 Cemetery St., Jersey Shore, from noon to 6 p.m. Monday. Donors will receive a coupon for a free 57.6 ounce container of Turkey Hill SunBrew Iced Tea (any variety).
Also next week, a blood drive will be held from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Bald Eagle Valley Community United Methodist Church, 111 Runville Road, Wingate.
Central Pennsylvania is facing a shortage of blood and all eligible donors are asked to step up at this time, particularly donors with Type O blood.
Anyone 17 or older who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in generally good health may donate blood. Sixteen-year-olds may donate with parental permission. Donors are asked to bring photo identification.
Donations take about an hour. To sign up for a time slot, visit www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Walk-ins also are welcome.
