Historical society plans Labor Day Yard Sale

August 15, 2012
The Express

LOCK HAVEN - The Clinton County Historical Society is planning fundraisers for the upcoming year.

First will be the annual Labor Day Yard Sale at the Heisey Museum

The public can donate items to the Clinton County Historical Society. A tax-deductible receipt will be available for those who need it.

The society is dependent on this fundraiser and has already been the recipient of antiques, nice furniture, collectibles and pieces of an antique cast iron fence. There will also be a plant sale and a baked goods sale.

Soon information will be available for a May 2013 10-day trip to Alaska, arranged by Nittany Travel. An exciting itinerary is planned.

A favorite of the community, the Historic Homes Tour, will be held in December. Watch for more information.

The Mardi Gras 2012 party was a lot of fun and a great success and will be held at the Elks in January.

The Heisey Museum at 362 E. Water St. is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and other hours by appointment.

Volunteers are needed to help price items for the yard sale from Aug. 31 to Sept. 3. Call 748-7254 to either volunteer or donate items for the yard sale.
