Theft from vehicle
LOCK HAVEN - A purse containing credit cards was stolen from an unlocked, parked vehicle Tuesday morning, city police said.
The theft occurred in the 300 block of Bellefonte Avenue, police said.
False alarms
LOCK HAVEN - Two teenage girls, 13 and 14, were cited for setting off a false alarm Monday at 200 E. Linden St., city police said.
Police said the teens reported somebody had a gun in the area when no such sidearm existed.
Two-vehicle accident
LOCK HAVEN - A two-vehicle crash occurred Tuesday at 3 p.m. at North Hanna and East Main Street, city police said.
Police said Alexis Dauberman of Beech Creek was making a turn from North Hanna to East Main Street when her 1999 Mercury Cougar cut into the lane of oncoming traffic and crashed into a stopped 2001 Ford Mustang operated by Larry McCloskey Jr. of Loganton.
Simple assault charged
BELLEFONTE-After allegedly engaging in a fight Sunday at 1 p.m., five local residents were taken to the Centre County Jail and charged with simple assault, state police at Rockview said.
The reported fight was at 635 Purdue Mountain Road, and began when Cody J. Mann, 21, and Patience M. Bumbarger, 18, both of Howard, were leaving and Bumbarger's mother, Carrie L. Dreibeles, 34, of Port Royal, came to the vehicle and allegedly began yelling at them, police said.
Both Dreibeles and Bumbarger went to the ground; Michael L. Washington, 43, of Port Royal, saw the altercation and went down and allegedly assaulted Mann, police said.
Brandon W. Wilson, 26, of Bellefonte, then allegedly joined in and placed Mann in a headlock with a knee to the back of his head, police said.
