The Wayne Township Recreational Committee would like to THANK the many individuals who provided their time and assistance in making the presentation at Zindel Park on Aug. 5, a huge success. Donations from First Quality and Wal-Mart were very much appreciated. A big thank you to the efforts of the Wayne Township Supervisors and maintenance crew. Also, many thanks to the McElhattan United Methodist Church for the use of its sound system.

The Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank distributed shoes to families in the Renovo area this past Saturday with the help of the women volunteers of the First United Methodist Church, Dee Taylor, Alyce Baker, Rich Mikula and Jacinth Maynard. THANK YOU for making it possible.

A hearty APPLAUSE to Master Gardener Laura Sproat and her Sprout'n Gardeners 4-H Club for the excellent display of produce at the Clinton County Fair. Congratulations to the 4-H members for growing such award-winning vegetables and garden displays. Also, please give a big hand to Clinton County Master Gardeners Rebecca Forbes, Dena Gillin, Deb Liguori, Tina Clinefelter and Karen Elias for all the work that went into our display at the Clinton County Fair. And, the Clinton County Master Gardeners wish to thank Belles Springs Structures for providing its wonderful gazebo for us to use at the Clinton County Fair. The gazebo provided an excellent way for us to showcase our displays.

I recently had a C-section at Lock Haven Hospital for the birth of my fourth child, which made me very nervous However, the ladies on the OB floor, Dr. Chen and Dr. Udalla all made my experience just as amazing as a natural birth. Dr. Udalla did an amazing job at really listening to every concern I had, and when Dr. Chen heard of any issues I was also having, she not only came to the hospital when she wasn't working, she followed up with me at home to make sure I was OK. The nurses were terrific and helped out tremendously with also being there for every need I had. Also helping a great deal with the baby when I was still unable to get up on my own. These ladies really care about their patients more then just it being another "job." And I just wanted to really say THANK YOU to them all for making this birth just as amazing as the rest.

- Kasie Saville, Fleming
