LOCK HAVEN - Eight weeks and still no paychecks?

According to some personal care attendants, money is becoming a critical problem because of a continuing, lagging delay in payment involving over 1,700 caregivers who provide services to some of Pennsylvania's most vulnerable citizens.

Rep. Mike Hanna, D-Lock Haven, has been monitoring a situation involving the Department of Public Welfare, one he characterizes as "poorly handled by all parties involved."

Earlier this week, he asked Jack Wagner, the Pennsylvania Auditor General, to open an investigation into the matter.
