Metal stolen

CASTANEA -Approximately $38,700 in metal and equipment were stolen in April at 241 S. Hanna St., Castanea, Tpr. David Kirkendall of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

The victim was listed as John Bedard, 61, of Tegacay, S.C.

Police said a victim has been identified but offered no other details of the crime.

Altered VIN number

SOUTH RENOVO -Henry Charles Green, 56, of 159 Clinton Ave., South Renovo, was charged with altering the VIN number on a 1988 Ford Mustang, Tpr. Kevin Bletz of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Green took the VIN from a 1988 Mustang with a "clean" title and placed it onto a 1985 Ford Mustang with a "salvage" title.

Salvage titles are customarily issued for vehicles that have been extensively damaged. In general, a vehicle is deemed "salvage" when the insurer determines that the repair or replacement cost is in excess of approximately 75 percent of its market value at the time of the accident.

Harassment alleged

SALLADASBURG - A female juvenile has been cited for harassment following an Aug. 25 incident at 241 Main St., Salladasburg, Tpr. Daniel Kozak of the Pennsylvania State Police at Montoursville.

Police said Justin T. Fox, 40, of Salladasburg and the juvenile were arguing when the juvenile kicked Fox twice in the groin area.

Truck hits pole

LOGANTON -Two teens were involved in a crash Tuesday on Route 880 at the entrance to Ravensburg State Park, Tpr. Benjamin J. Campana of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said the 17-year-old driver from Loganton was driving south when the 1998 Ford F-150 traveled onto the shoulder of the highway and crashed into a utility pole.

The driver and a 16-year-old passenger were not injured in the crash, although the truck had major front end damage.

Truck accident

LOGANTON - Raymond Hansen, 55, of Hastings Fla., crashed his 2012 Freightliner on Interstate 80 in Greene Township Tuesday at 11:30 p.m., Tpr. Shane Buffone of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Hansen was driving east when he lost control of the rig, which traveled off the road, crashed into an embankment and guide rail, and came to a rest blocking the left lane.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Sugar Valley Fire Company, the Clinton County Hazmat unit and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Bad check

LOGANTON - An individual passed a $1,300 bad check for rent Aug. 1 at 15 E. Main St., Loganton, state police at Lamar said.

The victim was listed as Ben Zook, 48, of Loganton.

Accident

MILL HALL - A two-vehicle crash occurred at 7:28 a.m. Tuesday on Route 150 in Bald Eagle Township, Tpr. Kenneth Riggle of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Heather A. Rooney-George, 35, of Lock Haven was driving her 2003 Chevrolet Suburban south, and Wayne R. Boone, 53, of Mill Hall was driving his 20005 Ford F-350 north, when Rooney-George attempted to make a left turn and cut into the path of Boone's vehicle.

Rooney-George suffered a minor injury in the crash, police said.

Cash stolen

LOCK HAVEN - Between $600 and $800 in cash was stolen early Thursday during a party at 30 W. Bald Eagle St., city police said.
