The voter ID is a political ploy to solve a problem that essentially does not exist. The sponsor of the bill does not care if there is a problem or not. The law will result in some people not being able to vote, and it has already resulted in a ridiculous waste of taxpayers' money.
The attorney general ought to have better things to do than mess with this red herring.
