Mary Ann Hakin, 83, of 215 S. Water St., Mill Hall, died Sept. 10, 2012 in the Extended Care Unit of the Lock Haven Hospital.
She was born Sept. 9, 1929 in Lock Haven, a daughter of the late David and Carol Kreidler Peters.
On Feb. 10, 1951 in Winchester, Va. she married Lynn V. Hakin who survives at home.
Mary Ann was a licensed beautician and a licensed cosmetology teacher.
An avid bowler, she bowled three times weekly. She was a member of the Mill Hall United Methodist Church.
Mary Ann was a 1947 graduate of the Mill Hall High School and had attended Susquehanna University.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Lynn V. Hakin III, Mary Jo Lund and Shawn Christine Confair; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lynn V. Hakin II on Oct. 13, 2009; by a daughter, Susan C. Watkins on Dec. 15, 1996; by a granddaughter, Amanda J. Ciacelli on July 13, 2011; and by a brother, James Fultz.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at noon in the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa. 17751. Rev. Valerie DeLooze, her pastor, will officiate. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mill Hall United Methodist Church or the Alzheimers' Association through the funeral home.
