It was awesome to have someone actually address the fact that our football fans are way too quiet! I have been the "crazy sports lady" who has cheered for my kids and their teammates loud and proud forever.
All you have to do is watch other fans - especially college and pro fans - to see how you are supposed to cheer. When kids are down, sometimes all they need is to hear someone screaming their name, telling them they can do it. Instead of looking at people like me and calling us crazy, start standing up as a group and screaming encouragement!
Passionate players like Von Walker feed off of the the enthusiasm of their teammates and fans. It will be awesome to come to a Central Mountain football game, and not feel like everyone is looking at me as if I'm possessed. I will always be passionate about sports, especially football!
