Drunk driving charged

LOCK HAVEN - Mark Philip Kleine, 60, of 46 Dogwood Drive, was charged with driving while intoxicated, city police said Monday.

The charge relates to an Aug. 30 incident at 11:36 p.m., on Susquehanna Avenue, in which Kleine's vehicle struck several parked vehicles.

Drunk driving alleged

LOCK HAVEN - Carrie Johnson, 26, of 593 Ridge Road, Mill Hall was charged with driving while intoxicated, city police said Monday.

Police said on Sept. 1 at 3:04 a.m., Johnson was stopped in the 800 block of Bellefonte Avenue for an equipment violation and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

Hit and run

LOCK HAVEN -A hit-and-run accident resulted in charges of drunk driving and driving without a license Aug. 31 at 11:09 p.m., city police said Monday.

Police said Hurles Chase Anderson, 23, of Duncan, Okla., struck a parked car and left the scene, but was followed by another motorist who stayed on the telephone with officers. He was followed to the Salona exit of Route 220,w here he stopped and was arrested, police said.

Burglary reported

LOCK HAVEN - A burglary occurred late Saturday or early Sunday at 424 W. Water St., city police said.

Police said two laptop computers and an Xbox gaming system, all valued at $2,300, were stolen from the apartment.

Harassment citation

RENOVO -Toni Elyse Sporny, 22, of Renovo was cited for harassment Sunday at 4 p.m., Tpr. Christopher Soo of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Sporny punched Karen Ann Youkin, 23, of Renovo in the head and pulled the victim's hair.

Harassment alleged

MILL HALL - David Eugene Lukas Jr., 21, of Lock Haven was cited for harassment Saturday at 9:20 p.m. at 100 Danis St., Mill Hall, Tpr. Christopher Soo of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Lukas kicked Jason Lynn Bilbay, 38, of Lock Haven in the face.

Retail theft

MILL HALL - Ashley Politakis and Kayla Johnson, both 18 and both of Lock Haven, were cited for retail theft Friday at 8:26 p.m., Tpr. Christopher Wilson of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said the defendants were caught stealing $38.17 in merchandise from the Wal-Mart Super Center in Bald Eagle Township.

Politakis was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Harassment reported

LOCK HAVEN - A 17-year-old female was cited for harassment Saturday at 2 p.m. at 735 Fox Road, Crawford Township, Tpr. David Kirkendall of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said the teen spit in the face of a 19-year-old female and threw rocks at her.

Drunk driving

MILL HALL - Salvator Costagliola, 23, of Lock Haven was arrested for driving while intoxicated Sunday at 2:11 a.m., Tpr. Curtis Confer of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Costagliola was operating a vehicle with an equipment violation at Route 150 and Pennsylvania Avenue in Bald Eagle Township, was stopped and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

At almost the same time, Zachary Moldovan, 19, of Beech Creek was cited for underage drinking Saturday at 2:17 a.m., Tpr. William Ritrosky of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Moldovan was a passenger in a vehicle during a traffic stop and was found to have consumed alcohol.

Drunk driving

CASTANEA - Robert Wayne Straub, 29, of Lock Haven was arrested for driving while intoxicated Friday at 1:52 a.m. on Brown Street in Castanea Township, Tpr. William Ritrosky of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Straub was operating a vehicle with an equipment violation, was stopped and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

No injuries

LOGANTON -Hasan Ak, 41, of State College crashed his 2002 Mazda Protege on Interstate 80 in Greene Township Thursday afternoon, Tpr. Benjamin Campana of the Pennsylvania State Police at Lamar said.

Police said Hasan was driving west when his vehicle veered off the road and crashed into the guard rail.

There were no injuries, police said.

Fuel stolen

SNOW SHOE-Unknown actor(s) unscrewed the fuel cap from a person's truck at the Snow Shoe Citgo, and stole 100 gallons of diesel fuel overnight Sept. 12, state police at Rockview said.

DUI suspected

BELLEFONTE-Caitlin Aschiero, 19, of Bellefonte, was pulled over for a traffic violation and was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 150 at Myrtle Street, Sunday at 9:57 p.m., state police at Rockview said.

Simple assault, harassment charged

MILLHEIM-Joseph Michael Huss, 49, of Coburn, was charged with simple assault and harassment for his alleged involvement in a physical dispute with his 55-year-old girlfriend, resulting in her minor injuries on the 1300 block of Penns Creek Road, Sunday between 7:40 and 7:57 p.m., state police at Rockview said.

Huss was arraigned before District Court Judge Thomas Jordan on Monday and was committed to Centre County Jail on $5,000 straight bail; a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 26, 2012, police said.

Theft from home

BELLEFONTE-State police at Rockview are investigating the theft of silver dollars valued at $10 and a sterling silver ring with an amethyst stone setting valued at $50 from a home on the 200 block of Buffalo Run Road between Sept. 14 and 16, police said.

There is a known suspect and the investigation is continuing, police said.

One-vehicle accident

BELLEFONTE-Michael W. Bryan, 47, of Bellefonte, drove his 2004 Hyundai Sante Fe off the right shoulder into an embankment at the intersection of Roopsburg Road and Shawley Lane, on Sept. 15 at 12:20 a.m., state police at Rockview said.

Bryan was charged, but was uninjured; he had worn his seatbelt, police said.

Pedestrian struck

BELLEFONTE-Domenic A. Desantis, 22, of Bellefonte, allegedly left his lane of travel on Valley View Road near Armagast Road, and struck a pedestrian, Karen R. Lahr, 28, of Bellefonte, with the passenger side mirror of his 2010 Ford F-150, Monday at 12:53 p.m., state police at Rockview said.

Lahr was located in a grassy area about four feet from the roadway; she suffered a minor injury to her arm, and chose to seek medical attention on her own, police said.

Desantis was charged with roadways laned for travel, police said.
