Jerry E. Fuller, 64, of Sagamore Hills, Lock Haven, died on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at his home.
He was born Sept. 4, 1948, in Lock Haven, the son of Clyde Fuller and Sarah Jeirles Fuller.
Jerry graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School and attended Lock Haven University.
On Nov. 22, 1975 he was united in marriage to Gale Saiers of Lock Haven.
Jerry worked as an elementary school teacher in the Jersey Shore Area School District spending the majority of his career teaching fifth grade alongside his wife at Jersey Shore Elementary School. Jerry also served as an assistant football coach for Jersey Shore High School for many years mainly as the school's defensive coordinator under the late Lester Hale.
Jerry had a passion for the outdoors specifically hunting with his brother Clyde. He also loved golfing and was an avid Penn State football and Philadelphia Phillies fan.
He is survived by his wife Gale with whom he celebrated 37 years of marriage; two sons, Jason Fuller and his wife, Kristi, of Voorhees, N.J., and Josh Fuller of State College; a brother, Clyde Fuller and his wife, Elaine, of Boalsburg, and one grandchild, Jake Fuller.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Leona Peters.
Funeral services will be held at The First Church of Christ, Water and Vesper streets, Lock Haven, on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Salmon.
Family and friends will be received in the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m.
