'New' in town

Partners buy Saloon, offer microbrews, dance floor

LOCK HAVEN - The Riverside Saloon may have kept its name, but the downtown business is under new local ownership offering specialty Pennsylvania microbrew beers, dancing and, eventually, more food.

Recently, "the Saloon," as many people call it, was purchased by two locals, Chris Darwin and Kevin Hanna.

For nearly 20 years, it was a bar where mostly townsfolk and college students spent their evenings playing pool or darts.

New owners Chris Darwin, left, and Kevin Hanna are anxious to show their customers the new changes at ‘The Saloon’.

Now, the business with the distinctive light green exterior has a dance floor where customers can dance while local DJs play music on weekends.
