Mickey Arthur Matthews, 52, of Rauchtown, formerly of Loganton, went to be with his Lord at the Lock Haven Hospital on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1960 in Landstuhl, Germany, the son of the late James L. Matthews Sr. and Laura M. (Truckenmiller) Eck.
Mickey was a 1979 graduate of the former Sugar Valley High School, Loganton.
His many interests were collecting Scooby Doo and Elvis memorabilia, a NASCAR fan, especially of Tony Stewart. He enjoyed country music and early rock and roll. However, he especially enjoyed traveling to Disney World and the Grand Canyon.
Along with his mother, he is survived by a stepfather, Richard K. Eck of Rauchtown; a brother, James L. (Candy) Matthews Jr. of Loganton, and two stepsisters, Tina M. Sharply of Indianapolis, Ind., and Kim Walker of Rauchtown.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home Inc., 95 E. Main St., Loganton, with Rev. Karl W. Runser officiating. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. Private internment will be held in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Loganton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mickey's name to Hope Enterprises, 614 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, Pa. 17701 or to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hill Road, Lock Haven, Pa. 17745.
