#16 LHU Lacrosse drops Shippensburg on the road
SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 16 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (5-2, 2-1 PSAC) defeated Shippensburg University (5-2, 1-2 PSAC) 14-11 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
The potent Bald Eagle offense was powered by sophomore Kate Hooper (Perth, Western Austrailia/St. Mary Anglican Girls School). Hooper notched three goals and one assist finishing the game with four points.
Shannon Bissnette (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) and Hayley Killian (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) also finished with four points each. Bissnette led all players with three assists and finished with one goal. Killian had two goals and two assist in the victory.
Rachel Engler (Perkiomenville, Pa./Rutgers), Ashley Gochenaur (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and Braxtin Reddinger (Hanover, Pa./New Oxford) each finished with two goals.
Emily Brunie (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and Karli Gilbert (Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown) both tacked on one goal each.
The Bald Eagles will return to action on Thursday (March 30) when they take on second-ranked and undefeated Lindenwood at Johns Hopkins’ Homewood Field in Baltimore.
