LHU Men’s Cross Country picked 2nd in PSAC Preseason Poll
LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men’s cross country team was picked second in the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
The Bald Eagles, a perennial conference, regional and national power, sit behind only Shippensburg, the defending conference champions.
Last season proved to be another special edition of LHU men’s cross country. The Bald Eagles qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships after taking second at both the NCAA Atlantic Region and PSAC Championship meets
From last year’s NCAA qualifying team, the Bald Eagles return three talented performers including Sam Signor, Patrick Miller and Luke Vanderhoff. That trio all finished as All-Conference, and Miller was just one spot away from an All-Region finish last season.
The Bald Eagles will open the 2017 season on Friday, September 1 with the Dolan Duals, an annual dual meet with Division I Penn State.
