The Bald Eagles will return Lydia Werner who was an All-Region selection from last year’s squad. She was also named the 2016-17 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women’s Indoor Track & Field Freshman of the Year.

-PSAC Championship Athlete of the Year: 1

-PSAC Championships: (2) 2002, 2003

-PSAC Runner-Up: (2) 2005, 2007

“We’re excited to get the track and field season started with our first indoor meet at Bucknell on Friday and Saturday. We use this meet as a rust buster for the sprinters, jumpers, hurdlers and throwers. Since cross country season just wrapped up for the distance runners, they will not be competing. The team has been conditioning and training since September, so they are very eager to get some competition in” said co- head coach Aaron Russell.

“The Bison Opener provides us with an opportunity to see where our veterans are in comparison to years past, and to see how our freshmen are adjusting to their collegiate training. We have a great mixture of returners and newcomers so it will be great to see them finally compete. “ said Russell.
