Bearcats start out fast, Bald Eagle Area High loses 83-66
WINGATE — Coming into their game Tuesday, the Bald Eagle Area boys basketball team was looking to make a statement with First seed Huntingdon coming to town.
The game was like a back and forth track meet as a total of almost 150 points were scored in it.
Unfortunately, the Bearcats would break out to a fast start and continue their lead until the final buzzer, winning 83-66.
Huntingdon finished the game with four players in double digits.
The Bearcats were led by the inside/outside play of Nick Gearhart who finished with a game-high 19 points. Gearhart cranked out three triples in the contest.
Teammate Nick Rigby was next as he posted 17 points.
Also posting double figures for the Bearcats were Jonathan Price and Jackson Ritchey who finished with a 16-and-10 point effort, respectively.
Bald Eagle also had three of its players end the contest as double figure scorers.
