Lock Haven Lacrosse sits at No. 25 in rankings

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – The Lock Haven University lacrosse team is ranked No. 25 in this week’s Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches’ Association (IWLCA) Division II national poll.

Despite a solid 16-10 win in their opener vs. Georgian Court, the Bald Eagles dropped two spots from their preseason ranking at No. 23. Lock Haven is one of five Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) teams listed in this week’s rankings.

Florida Southern is 2-0 and ranked No. 1, while Adelphi (No. 2) and Lindenwood (No. 3) round out the top three.

HOME COOKING:

The Bald Eagles will open the 2018 season with three straight home games. Lock Haven’s season-opening win at home over Georgian Court last week moved The Haven to 1-0 this season on Charlotte Smith Field. Since the start of the 2013 season, Lock Haven is 44-3 at home.

IT ALL IN OPENER:

Senior standout Alex O’Herrick did it all for the Bald Eagles in last week’s opener. She scored four goals, dished out one assist, while recording nine draw controls, eight caused turnovers and five ground balls.
