Bald Eagle news, notes & storylines:
FIRST WIN FOR STOVER:
The season-opening win on February 9 marked the first for interim head coach Heath Stover, who was named the head coach for the 2018 season on January 9. The longtime LHU assistant follows in the footsteps of his father Paul “Smokey” Stover who was head coach for 25 seasons.
The Lock Haven offense was explosive through the first four games. So far, LHU has racked up 33 hits, 33 runs and eight home runs. Leading the way is Keyshawn D’Orso, who is hitting .500 (5 for 10) with three home runs and six RBIs. A total of four players are hitting over .300.
Breton LaRose is two for two in save opportunities so far this season. He had 10 saves last year which was a single-season school record and he now has 12 career saves, which ties for the career saves record.
