LHU Field Hockey earns Academic Award
GILBERT – The Lock Haven University field hockey team has earned a 2017 Zag Field Hockey / National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Team Award.
The award recognizes programs with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
Lock Haven finished the 2017 season at 10-8 overall and the Bald Eagles went 3-5 in Atlantic 10 (A-10) action. The 2017 season marked LHU’s sixth straight winning season and The Haven’s 29th straight season with 10 or more wins. Tamia Roach and freshman Kayla Brathwaite both earned a spot on the All-Conference Second Team which highlighted the Bald Eagle’s A-10 honors. In all, three LHU players took home five different awards. Roach also earned All-Academic honors from the conference, and Brathwaite was joined by fellow freshman Tia Judy on the All-Rookie Team.
