Men’s Basketball led the Big Ten in this academic statistic with a perfect 100 percent GSR score for the fifth consecutive year and a graduation figure 22 points higher than the Division I average (100 to 78 percent).

With his four 3-pointers in the NIT second-round game at Notre Dame, senior Shep Garner has connected on 107 during 2017-18 which ties him with Steve Alford of Indiana for 10th on the Big Ten single-season list (1986-87). Joe Crispin (2001) currently owns the Penn State single-season record with 108.

Graduate student Julian Moore now owns the Penn State record for most games played in a career with 138. He ranks 21st among all active NCAA Division I players.

The number of blocked shots recorded to date in 2017-18, a Penn State single-season record. The Nittany Lions broke the record of 182 set in 2016-17.

Guard Tony Carr moved past Talor Battle (635, 2009) for the sophomore scoring record with 664 points. He has 1,100 points in his two years, the only Penn State men’s basketball sophomore to achieve the 1,000-point milestone.

Penn State’s team scoring record for a single season, breaking the old mark of 2,572 by the 2000 Nittany Lion team. The 2017-18 edition of the Nittany Lions is averaging 74.2 points per game, the highest since the 2000-01 Penn State squad averaged 76.8.

Penn State advanced to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) with a 73-63 win over No. 1 seed Notre Dame. The Nittany Lions play next on Tuesday, March 20 vs. No. 2 seed Marquette at the Al McGuire Center. Tipoff is 7 p.m. on ESPN.
