It was a good racing weekend finally!

Port Royal did double duty with action on Saturday and Sunday night. The Lucas Oil Late Models were in town and Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tennessee took the lead on lap two of the 50-lapper and never looked back in scoring his series all-time leading 88th win, worth $10,000.

Bloomquist also moved to within five victories of his 600th career victory as his second LOLMDS win in the last three series races was the 595th of his Hall-of-Fame career. Jeremy Ohl won the Mason Dixon Series limited late model feature. On Saturday night, it was Open Wheel Madness with the 410 sprints joined by the URC and the 305 sprints. the winners were Brock Zearfoss in his second win of the weekend, Kyle Smith and Lucas Wolfe.

Over at Bedford Speedway, Dave Troutman was hot for 25 laps. Troutman, who waited a decade between Bedford feature wins before scoring last week, jumped back in only seven days later to score again in Friday night action. The recent pair of wins doubled Troutman’s career total to four Late Model wins at the track, Kyle Ganoe scored his first career 305 win, and Troy Johnson took the EMod event. Josh Frankenberry took the Pure Stock event before Wayne Brenize ended his short retirement with a 4 Cylinder win.

Brock Zearfoss of Jonestown picked up his first win of the season Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway, claiming $3,600 in the 410 sprint car feature while Chase Dietz picked up the win in the 358 sprint main event.

Over at Selinsgrove, Mark Smith of Sunbury held off the hard-charging Freddie Rahmer of Salfordville for the victory in Sunday night’s suspenseful 30-lap Ray Tilley Classic for 410 sprint cars at Selinsgrove Speedway.

Kyle Bachman won the 15-lap pro stock main event. Keith Bissinger of Orangeville scored his first win of the season in the 12-lap roadrunner feature.

Danny Dietrich took the checkers at Lincoln Speedway and they will be back in action next Saturday night, April 28, with the running of the 15th annual Weldon Sterner Memorial for 410 Sprints (33 Laps/$6,900 to win), plus 358 Sprints and Street Stocks.

See you at the races!
