LHU Wrestling Head Coach Scott Moore attends NWCA CEO Leadership Academy

LOCK HAVEN – As part of his recent trip to the 2018 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Convention, Lock Haven University head wrestling coach Scott Moore was invited to take part in the 2018 NWCA CEO Leadership Academy in Daytona, Florida.

Moore was one of five NCAA Division I wrestling head coaches who took part in the NWCA CEO Leadership Academy.

The leadership academy’s focus areas included fundraising, networking, recruiting, compliance and ethics. Those on hand also had the chance to hear an insightful message from one of the keynote speakers: Austin Shanfelter, a 1990 LHU graduate and former Bald Eagle wrestler.

As part of the academy, Moore was grouped with ‘mentor’ Jake Spates, the well-respected former University of Oklahoma coach. Moore was also joined by LHU graduate and Rutgers head coach Scott Goodale, as well as Neil Erisman (Little Rock Arkansas) and Manny Rivera (Cal-State Bakersfield).
