LOCK HAVEN — The official start of the 2018-19 collegiate wrestling season is right around the corner and in anticipation of it, the nationally-ranked Lock Haven University wrestling team has released its 2018-19 preseason depth chart.

The Bald Eagles will be led by six returning national qualifiers including All-American Chance Marsteller 165. Also returning is 2018 NCAA Division I national qualifiers Kyle Shoop (141), Alex Klucker (157), Corey Hazel (184), Thomas Haines (285) and 2017 national qualifier DJ Fehlman (133). Shoop and Haines are both two-time NCAA qualifiers for Lock Haven.

Lock Haven will officially start practice on Wednesday, October 10, and in traditional fashion, the Bald Eagles will take things outside for Midday Matness and practice outside in the middle of campus for all to see. It will mark LHU’s fourth straight Midday Matness. More information will be available at www.GoLHU.com as we get closer to the event.

On Saturday, October 27, the Bald Eagles will hold their annual Crimson & White Dual in Rogers Gymnasium. The start time for the wrestle-off exhibition match is 10 a.m.

The Bald Eagles will open 2018-19 competition with the Clarion Open on Saturday, November 3.

There is still time to purchase season tickets. Highlighting the home schedule is five home duals and three home tournaments. Season ticket holders will also get into LHU’s match vs. Arizona State on January 25 at Red Lion High School and Lock Haven’s match at national-power Cornell on February 2.
