LHU’s Leidy named PSAC Freshman AOTW

LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven University women’s basketball travelled to West Virginia for the MEC/PSAC Challenge and freshman Taylor Leidy (Juniata Valley, Pa./Juniata Valley) stood out from the crowd with two strong performances and earned her spot as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Freshman Athlete of the Week.

Leidy played a big role in the Haven going 1-1 in the opening weekend at the PSAC/MEC challenge. For the weekend, Leidy posted averages of 10.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals over 34.5 minutes per game.

In the season opening win over Concord, Leidy scored 13 points to go along with seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. She also went 2-3 from behind the arc. In the second game against Fairmont State, she stuffed the stat sheet once again as she finished with seven points, seven rebounds, five assists and a steal.
