9 Bulldogs selected to Conference All-Star Team

JERSEY SHORE- Jersey Shore concluded its second straight district-title winning season with nine Bulldogs named to the 2018 Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference (PHAC) All-Star Team.
Koby Peacock, Josh Malicky, Kyle Tomb, David Tomb, Hunter O’Connor, Anthony Darby, Matt Fausey, Tanner Lorson and Cameron Griffin were selections on the All Star Team. Ryan Kershner, Karter Peacock, Dawson Sechrist, Stanton Westlin and Anthony Shaffer were listed as honorable mentions.
Head coach Tom Gravish was named Coach of the Year.
Highlighting the All Star selections for JS was Koby Peacock, who received three first team selections at wide receiver, defensive back and punter. On offense Peacock led the Bulldogs with 675 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. On special teams he averaged 37.7 yards per punt and pinned the opposing offense inside the 20-yard line seven times.
Linebacker Hunter O’Connor (1st team) led JS with a single-season school record 172 tackles, with 21 being for a loss of yards.
David Tomb earned first team selections at both defensive tackle and offensive linemen. On defense Tomb recorded a team-high seven sacks and was second behind O’Connor with 20 tackles for a loss of yards.
Defensive back Josh Malicky (2nd team) ended the season with one interception and 68 tackles.
Quarterback Tanner Lorson (2nd team) threw for 1,694 yards in his first season as a starter. He ended the year with 14 TDs and 9 picks.
Running back Kyle Tomb (1st team) rushed for a team-high 746 yards on 194 carries. He scored 10 touchdowns and eclipsed the 100-yard mark in three games this season.
David Tomb (1st team) Anthony Darby (2nd team) and Matt Fausey (2nd team) were offensive line selections. They bulldozed the path for the Bulldogs’ combined 2,448 rushing yards in 2018.
Kicker Cameron Griffin (1st team) nailed 28 of his 33 field goal attempts this season. Griffin also averaged 47.5 yards a kickoff.
