Baseball: Wildcats fall at home to Shamokin, 9-5

The Central Mountain baseball team dropped a home contest to the Shamokin Indians, 9-5.

Central Mountain was knotted with Shamokin, 4-4, entering the final frame before Shamokin exploded with five runs in the inning. CM responded with one score in the bottom of the seventh before exiting with the defeat.

Aaron Swartz and Peyton Johnson tied for a Wildcat-high two hits, with Johnson also leading CM with two RBIs in the game. Rocco Stark also drove in a run.

Pitchers Trey Gentzel and Kaden Falls each threw three strikeouts.

CM returns Monday with a home contest versus Milton.
