FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has returned to practice after missing two days with an unspecified knee injury.
Coach Bill Belichick declined to provide an update on Brady at his Friday morning news conference when asked if the quarterback will play Sunday against the New York Jets.
Brady was listed on New England’s injury report and did not practice Wednesday or Thursday.
Tight end Martellus Bennett also practiced Friday after being limited the previous two days. He has played in all 10 games for the Patriots (8-2) this season.
Belichick said: “He’s shown good toughness. He’s been a very dependable player for us.”
Wide receiver and special teams captain Matthew Slater (foot) was not spotted at practice Friday after not practicing Wednesday or Thursday.
