Hanna-Borowicz in tight race

Centre precincts to decide race

LOCK HAVEN – With all of Clinton County’s 34 precincts reporting by 10 p.m. Tuesday, state Rep. Mike Hanna held a 1,072 edge over Republican challenger Stephanie Borowicz.

Hanna tallied 7,959 votes to Borowicz’s 6,887.

But that leaves the 16 municipalities in Centre County that will decide the fate of the election for the 76th state House District.

Precincts were coming in slower in Centre County.

At 10 p.m.., according to unofficial results from eight of 16 municipalities reporting in Centre, Hanna held just a slight edge, 1,849 to 1,787.

Yet to report were Benner, Boggs, Burnside, Curtin, Haines, Howard, Liberty, Marion townships; Miles Township East, and the boroughs of Milesburg and Unionville.
