Concert June 28 to benefit Community Pool

MACKEYVILLE – There will be a summer concert at the Clinton County Fairgrounds again this year, and all proceeds from the June 28 event will go to the Clinton County Community Pool at Mill Hall.

The concert features the band Hybrid Ice, along with John Cafferty and Michael “Tunes” Antunes.

Cafferty and saxophonist Antunes are from John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, known for the hit single “On the Dark Side” and the soundtrack of “Eddie and the Cruisers.”

Hybrid Ice sometimes calls itself “the most famous unknown band in the world,” but the band is a household name here, and whenever the musicians get together to perform again, their appearances are greeted with fan fervor.

Hybrid Ice also will play backup for Cafferty and Antunes, so fans can look forward to close to three hours of Hybrid Ice on stage.

The gate opens at 11:30 a.m. and music will be presented from 1 to 4 p.m. Food and drinks vendors will be available. No alcoholic beverages are allowed at the fairgrounds.

Tickets are on sale now. Children and youth under age 16 are free with an accompanying adult. For tickets contact Kelly McGhee at kmcghee725@comcast.net or 570-295-4281.
