Moores celebrate 50th anniversary

James L. and Donna R. Moore are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016.

The couple was married in the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Clintondale on that date back in 1966.

James retired from the AGR National Guard stationed at the 728th MSB barracks in Dunnstown in 2000. He also served as an electrical contractor in the greater Lock Haven area for many years and still remains active in this field. He is a lifetime member of Citizens Hose Co. No. 5, remains active in the Freemasons and is a member of the Shriners Little Vet’s Club and enjoys zooming around in his miniature white corvette in local parades.

On nice sunny days, you may get a glimpse of the couple riding in his beloved antique MG convertible car.

Donna retired in 2005 after working numerous years as a seamstess for multiple companies including New Haven, Woolrich Woodlen Mills and Bobbie Brooks. She enjoys spending time tending her flowers, trees and yard surrounding their home in Beech Creek. She cherishes time with family especially her grandsons.

They are proud parents of three children, Ashley (Tony) Hudgins of Pottstown, Staci (Jim) Kelly of Beech Creek, and Brad (Erica) Moore of Howard. They have four wonderful grandchildren, Tony, Tory, Tyler and Colton.
