Pam and Smokey Stover celebrate 50th anniversary

Pamela and Paul “Smokey” Stover are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month.

The former Pamela Thompson married her high school sweetheart on June 28th, 1969 in St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Jersey Shore.

The Stover’s have two children, Tammy Shannon (Robert), and Heath “Smoke” Stover (Jennifer); five grandchildren, Ashley Koser (Tyler), Troy Bennett (Erica), Alyssa Stover, Katelyn Stover, and Sophia Stover, and one great-grandchild Clayton Koser.

Pamela retired from the Jersey Shore Area School district where she worked at Avis Elementary School. Paul “Smokey” Stover retired from both the Jersey Shore Post Office and Lock Haven University where he served as the head baseball coach for more than 25 years. He also coached Jersey Shore High School baseball for many years, and currently coaches South Williamsport baseball where he recently led the Mounties to the state baseball tournament as back to back district champions.

The Stover’s will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a 17-day adventure to Alaska. Family celebrated the couple at the Clinton County Country Club on June 13.
