Royer – Schoonover
Michelle Lynne Royer, daughter of David and Lori Royer, Linden, became the bride of Joshua Ray Schoonover, son of Raymond and Cheryl Schoonover, Castanea, on Aug. 4, 2012.
The 3:30 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. David Kanski at Lycoming Christian Church, Linden.
The bride’s gown was meaningful to the couple as she wore the same gown when they attended high school prom together. She wore a strapless satin and tulle ball gown with lavender contrasting neckline band, and beading. She also wore a floral crystal embellished tiara with a cathedral length veil. For the reception she changed into a full knee length taffeta dress with sweetheart neckline, and pleated overlay tulle top with floral detail at one side.
Maid of Honor was Jodi Royer of Linden, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Schoonover, Castanea, sister of the bridegroom; Sheena Armbruster, Jersey Shore; Ashley Bennett, Mifflinburg; and Leigh Haley, Houghton, N.Y.
Best man was Donnie Thomas, Jersey Shore. Ushers were Ryan Thomas, Avis; Darren Muthler, Lock Haven; Tyler Koser, Mifflinburg; and Jon Haley, Houghton, N.Y.
A rehearsal dinner was held at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House and the reception was held at The Valley Inn, DuBoistown. After a trip to North Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Jersey Shore with their puppy Chance. They are expecting their first child at the end of September.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Jersey Shore Area High School and a 2010 graduate of Lock Haven University with a degree in elementary education and a minor in special education. She is employed by the Jersey Shore Area School District and also by the Woolrich Flagship Store and Outlet as a part-time sales associate.
Her husband is a 2007 graduate of Central Mountain High School. He is employed by Billtown Countertops, Williamsport.
