BEA student is finalist in pageant
WINGATE – Alexis Valimont, 16, daughter of Rick and Terri Valimont and a student at Bald Eagle Area High School, is a state finalist in the National American Miss Pennsylvania Pageant to be held on Aug. 16 and 17 in Harrisburg.
Alexis will be competing in the Teen (ages 16-8) division.
Her activities in school include cheerleading and volleyball. She also enjoys riding ATV’s, fishing, swimming, playing baseball and spending time outside around a campfire with friends and family.

The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, a bouquet of roses and air transportation to compete in the National Pageant in California, where she will receive a complimentary tour of Hollywood and two VIP tickets to Disneyland.
The National American Miss pageants are age-appropriate competitions for girls ages 4-18 in five different age divisions. The pageants are based on inner-beauty as well as poise and presentation and offers a spirit of fun for family and friends. Emphasis is put on the importance of developing elf confidence, learning good sportsmanship and setting and achieveing personal goals.
