Beer/wine to be sold at festival

No outside containers allowed

LOCK HAVEN — Something new is coming to the LH JAMS festival this year.

This will be the first year that the festival will be an “open container” or alcoholic beverage area.

Extra security measures will be taken to ensure the safety of festival goers, LH JAMS Director Steve Getz said.

The Main Street festival perimeter from Jay to Grove streets will be fenced off and no water or liquid containers will be allowed into the festival area.

Security officers will be posted at the entrances to the festival and signage will be placed throughout the area, warning attendees that they may not bring water bottles or any drink containers into the area. Security officers may also ask to check any baggage people are carrying into the festival.

“The LH JAMS committee is committed to keeping the festival a safe and fun area for everyone so your cooperation is much appreciated,” Getz said.

For those who will be bringing a furry friend, Downtown Lock Haven Inc. will have a water station near their office.
