Millbrook Playhouse to hold local auditions for ‘The Rocky Horror Show’

MILL HALL — Millbrook Playhouse is holding local auditions for non-union actors for the musical “The Rocky Horror Show” on Sept. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m.

Please prepare one rock song in the show’s style no long than 32 bars. Be ready to move and read from the script.

The show is about a newly engaged couple who have a breakdown in an isolated area and must pay a call to the bizarre residence of Dr. Frank-N-Furter.

Those interested must be available for rehearsals from Oct. 5 to 17. Performances: Oct. 18, 19 (two shows), 23, 24, 25, 26 (two shows). The playhouse staff can be flexible for class or work schedules.

Actors are considered to be “local” if they are living within a 40-mile radius of the theatre. The playhouse pays local actors a $300 stipend for the run of show (can vary pending size of role and experience level.) No housing provided for local actors. (some exceptions can be made depending on housing availability.) Dinners provided on all workdays. All staff required to help with the strike.
