LHU President, city councilman perform at Broken Axe
On Saturday, Nov. 3, Lock Haven University President, Robert Pignatello, along with Joel Long, mayor-elect and Lock Haven city councilman, performed together at the Broken Axe Brew House. During the performance, donations were accepted to benefit LHU’s Student Retention Fund, which was started by Pignatello to provide financial assistance to LHU students in need of funds to help them stay enrolled and earn their degree. Later in the music set, Pignatello was joined by city councilman Richard Morris for a few numbers. At a campus fundraiser the previous week, additional funds were raised for student retention scholarships. Private support will continue to be sought for this initiative, which helps more students attain their degree and helps maintain enrollments at LHU.
